So my wife's father is in town, and he is staying with his partner in a little Casita that they are towing behind their van. They set up on Emigrant lake for two weeks so we went to visit them this past weekend. It was a hot and sunny day so we decided to do some stand up paddle boarding. It was a lot of fun, and I would certainly do it again. It was made a bit more difficult by all of the other boats on the lake. Those waves will get you. My wife thought it was a fun challenge to handle those waves but man it knocked me over more than I would have liked. But I worked it out in the end.
We had a great time. This is our first summer in Ashland and it is exciting to start looking at all of the outdoor activities that we have within a short drive. They also rent kayaks at Emigrant Lake so I might have to try that also. Someone please open up a cafe on the lake so we have somewhere to paddle to.
A special thanks to Grandpa Perry for taking some great photos!
Jo sent me this link from hobbyhelp.com, if you need some info on getting started with paddle boarding.
